Pre-Superbowl Winterfest in the Park was a great time despite the COLD, COLD!! weather with 50+ people showing up and 10 chili contest entries that were all delicious.  Congratulations to the Chili contest winners – 1st place Paula Bencher, 2nd place Paul Carnarvon and 3rd place Greg Flannery.  Special thanks to Mike Bowdell for providing the music and Tim Danilowicz, Paul Carnarvon and Tom Logelin for their help in clearing the snow in the park and chopping up wood for the burn barrels.  We hope to make this an annual event in the future. 2021 Winterfest Flyer

Pre-Superbowl Winterfest / Chili Cook-Off
Let’s get ready for Superbowl LV (55)!!  We will be hosting a “tail-gate” style event in the Fr Saylor Park on Saturday, Feb 6, 2021 starting at 3pm.  We will provide a warming tent, fire pits and music by DJ Mike Bowdell.  The chili will be donated by those willing to participate in the contest which will be judged by a silent vote by those attending.  Contact the co-Chairs (see below) if you plan on entering the contest.  Prize for the winner is TBD and bragging rights for sure!!
Donation of $10 to attend which includes chili, condiments and door prizes.  We will also do a 50/50 raffle.  Tickets will be sold at the event.  Bring your own beverages, other food to BBQ, games such as corn-hole or fowling and DRESS WARM.  The Member Lounge will be open in case you need to warm-up inside.  Any questions, please contact co-Chairs Joe Carnarvon (313)-819-5879 or Mike Bowdell (313)-461-5922.
